Notes

- During the ring announcers introduction of the PPV he announced the company as the World Wrestling Allsports (long pause) Star Association. He then proceeded to introduce the commentators.... who had already started off the show and introduced themselves (Jeremy Borasch and Disco Inferno). Funny stuff. I dont think he will be with the company anymore.

- The cruiserweight matches were of an AWESOME quality, even if the Lynn/Chuck match only lasted a minute or so. The Australian crowds have ZERO appreciation for great wrestling matches, and more than one "BORING BORING" chant was started during the Cruiserweight Championship match. I think the WWF (when they visit in August) might be totally put off by the local crowds and we might not see them come here again.

- Buff Bagwell looked like he had fallen off a skateboard or something. Large scabs on the undersides of both his arms.

- The Style-Splash is a sweet move. I dont exactly know what its called, or even if it has a proper wrestling name. Its hard to describe, but I will give it a go. Styles has the person in a piledriver position. He hooks his legs around their arms, the falls forward into a piledriver-come-facefirst slam. Like I said... hard to describe.

- After their Tag Victory, GMS and The Cat get the WWA dancing girls and some kids from the crowd into the ring and dance. Disco Inferno climbs into the ring, does his dance, then gets beat up by everyone in the ring.

- The finish to the Midget match was somewhat botched. The elbow drop from the top of the ladder totally missed.

- During the main event, Nathan Jones went to the top ropes to do a Kane-esque Flying Clothesline..... he slipped during take off and fell straight down to the mat. Being the consumate professional, Steiner sold it like the move was a success and the match continued.

- The crowd sucked. They were worse than the non-televised sydney event from last weekend, and a hell of a lot worse than the Sydney PPV from last year. Next to no crowd noise for most of the event.

- The sound on the telecast was terrible. The commentators microphones totally covered out any other noise, and I dont think there were any microphones in or near the ring. The biggest bumps the wrestlers took hardly made a sound on the telecast. To me, this totally detracts from the matches, and makes them seem less real than they already are.

Sorry if the notes arent in order of the matches they correspond with, but I wrote them straight offf the top of my head as they came to me.

On a somewhat unrelated sidenote from the Sydney Show last week... outside the venue after the show was over, there were people from a local wrestling federation AWF handing out pamphlets for their next show. One of the staff at the venue called security and had them chased away.

Till next time, whenever that may be....
